I have the gout as well and if I take grape seed extract twice a day I can still have seafood IN MODERATION. I love seafood and sometimes I get carried away at the buffet. Samsclub (if your in the USA) used to sell the best grape seed extract but I have not seen it there in a while. Another "temp cure" for the gout is black cherry juice. I don't like the taste but it work good too. You should take your "medicine" for a couple of weeks befor trying any seafood.

Just google on your seafood of choice and "gout", see what you can find.
If the seafood does any of these things, you might want to avoid them:
1. Makes the body dehydrated
2. Causes the body to produce uric acid
3. Contains purines, which will become uric acid
4. Keeps the body from getting rid of uric acid
